As a Graphic Design Intern at CRAFT, a digital media and marketing agency in Washington DC, I had the privilege of designing the keynote presentation for the U.S. Chamber and U.S. Foundation's 5th Annual Health Care Summit entitled Health Forward. Health Forward is a program where keynote speakers examine the future of health care and the people, ideas, and innovations that are leading the way.
I was tasked with creating the personalized illustrations of each keynote speaker, illustrations of tools that would be relevant to the potential future for the health industry, the overall formatting of the full presentation, as well as the Health Forward work book that was given to all attendees.
Rather than creating the traditional headshot and bio format that most conference power points follow, I implemented bright illustrations, along with dynamic lines, shapes, and patterns to push these captivating designs into the future.
The theme was inspired by Roy Lichtenstein. I used the traditional pop art color palette and bold lines. I accented the design with the use of the Ben-Day dot pattern to stay true to the style. Combined with a well developed layout and consistent branding throughout, these elements made for a strong and effective presentation.
As Lead Graphic Design Intern for IDEAS Xlab, a Louisville, Kentucky based startup focused on driving large-scale social change by training artists to become a unique force of social entrepreneurs, I had the opportunity to mesh my personal interests in public health and my passion for visual design to create compelling and important pieces.
I spearheaded the design process and execution of the marketing campaign for their social program entitled "Healthy Days: A Cultural Blueprint for Health." This initiative was aimed at closing the gap in health disparities among low and high income areas in Louisville, KY.
I also lead the development of a millennial engagement strategy called Creative Agents of Change. This strategy was dedicated to connecting new artists with small businesses that promote activism in the health sector.
I assisted in the design of their informative booklet, showcasing years of data and research, regarding staggering health disparities in low income neighborhoods. This booklet was provided to potential sponsors and donors to help them visualize the path to lasting progress.
I created illustrations of individuals in the community directly effected by the Creative Agents of Change program. Based off photos of these individuals, I used their negative shadow and shapes with a mellow pastel color palette to develop these pieces that were eventually blown up and utilized as gallery pieces for the grand opening of their new office.
Putting my branding and marketing expertise into practice, I conceptualized logo's and designs for Kinfolk & KVR: a unique clothing company which aims to capture urban and rural lifestyle and designthrough handmade USA 5 Panel Caps and accessories.

-Patriotic Party Badge that was applied to t-shirts and distributed to attendees of the party.
-Facebook Banner and social media content
-Red, Pike, and Blue Snapchat geotag
I spearheaded the branding and logo design of a small freelance calligraphy business called "Nicolette". By focusing on the art of hand lettering while exuding a classic, simplistic yet modernized tone, I aimed to attract costumers with this logo by playing off the classic attraction of hand lettered products with the understated but very present and purposeful modern feel.
To really make the logo personal and unique, I traced her actual hand writing and masked it with a copper texture. I then overlaid the hand writing on an image of infused ink, which is specific to the art of hand lettering.
As a Graphic Design Intern at CRAFT digital media and marketing agency, I had the privilege of designing social media content for the Future Coalition of Beauty Industry's Instagram page.
During my time as a Visual Design Intern at Scoppechio, a leading design agency in Louisville, KY, I assisted in the creation of a few marketing and promotional assets for a national roll out with Kentucky Fried Chicken. In collaboration with the agency's Art Director I created this collection of marketing elements.
The first three elements pertain to KFC's "Re- Colonization" program geared towards revamping the traditional KFC branding and incorporating franchisee's in the process. With a focus on paying homage to KFC's traditional roots, they assigned me to create personalized vintage certificates that would be distributed to make franchisee's feel a part of KFC's rich history.
The next two promotional elements showcase the "Colonel's Chicken Sandwich" and the "Zinger Sandwich" which had just been released for market testing. These two layouts would serve as coupons sent in mailing catalogs for KFC.
The final two formats display a cutout that advertises the new "Nashville Hot Chicken" "Meal Deals." These prints were placed along side the drive-through marquee. As well as a window decal advertising the new "Nashville Hot Chicken".

Drawing is my passion. It's how I grow, learn, and push myself as a artist. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from my sketch book!
The whimsical characters, colors, and personality that populate the visionary and creative masterpiece that is Alice and Wonderland have inspired me to no end.
Pulling from this film's iconic imagery, I played off each character's personality, while adding my own thought and perspective and did so in a more modern and simplistic tone.
Hip Hop and rap culture has been irreversibly transformative in pop culture. The below pieces pay homage to key leaders in the music industry that have had an undeniable impact on mainstream media, pop culture and branding.

meaning: immoral or wicked behavior.
"Modern Vices" is my take on the vices prevalent in today's social landscape. A modern vice isn't always something that is immoral, but they are things that can become harmful or addicting. Something that our mainstream society cannot seem to live without.
